# Ads, organic and the team, looking at the same numbers.

> For growth and marketing teams, Uptika is a dashboard that shows their own Apple Ads spend next to organic rank keyword by keyword, never raises a budget without approval, writes a job list every morning and shares the data with the team through Slack, the API and MCP.

## What is hard?

- **Paying for keywords you already win**: The ads dashboard does not show organic rank. To see whether budget goes to a search where you already rank top 3, someone has to match two tools by hand.
- **Who changed what is unclear**: When several people touch campaigns, when a bid or budget change was made, by whom and how to undo it can get lost.
- **The data does not reach the team**: At the morning stand-up nobody knows which keyword dropped or which rival changed its listing; numbers travel as screenshots or are copied into sheets by hand.

## What helps most

- [Apple Ads](https://uptika.app/en/product/apple-ads): Spend, cost per install and organic rank keyword by keyword; nothing that could raise spend happens without approval, and every action is logged with who made it and can be undone in one click.
- [Playbook](https://uptika.app/en/product/playbook): A prioritised job list every morning at 05:00: keywords near the top 10, rival moves that worked and, with Apple Ads connected, spend on keywords where you already rank top 3 organically.
- [Alerts and team](https://uptika.app/en/product/alerts-and-team): Events such as a rank drop, a rival passing you or a chart entry go to Slack, Discord, Telegram or a webhook every 15 minutes, with the threshold and channel set per type.
- [API and MCP](https://uptika.app/en/product/api-and-mcp): Keyword, rank, rival, alert and ad data in a REST API; with the MCP server, ask Claude about the team's numbers. API keys cannot change ads.
- [Visibility score](https://uptika.app/en/product/visibility): Weighs your rank on every tracked search by popularity into a single 0–100 number, so you follow the effect of a metadata change or a campaign on one chart.
- [Rival log](https://uptika.app/en/product/rival-log): Records rivals' listing changes with dates and states, by open rules, what happened to their ranks in the 7 days after.

## Your first week

1. **Day 1: connect accounts**: Add your apps and connect Apple Ads with an API key you create there; the key is stored encrypted and the first connection reads the last 90 days. Invite teammates with their roles.
2. **Day 2: set up channels**: Route alerts to the team's Slack or Discord channel and set thresholds. Create an API key and add the MCP server to your Claude client.
3. **Day 7: first fixes**: The ads and search rank table shows keywords where you already rank high organically, and opportunities lists terms that spend without installs. Preview a change and confirm it; it all lands in the action log.

## Which plan fits?

Growth: Growth is $79 a month: 3 team seats, API and MCP, 5 apps, 10 storefronts per app, 500 keywords and 50 AI insights a day. The Apple Ads pages and the playbook start on Starter; if the team grows past 3, Portfolio opens 10 seats. You can start on the free plan with no card.

## Questions

### Can Uptika raise our budget on its own?

No. Nothing that could raise spend happens automatically, and such a change also asks you to confirm you reviewed it. Automatic mode exists only for rules that cut spend and runs under a monthly cap.

### Can the API or MCP change ads?

No. Ad changes are made only in the dashboard by a signed-in person. The only MCP write tool is adding keywords, and the Viewer role cannot write either.

### Do alerts come by email?

No. Channels are Slack, Discord, Telegram, your own webhook (optionally signed with HMAC-SHA256) and phone or browser notifications.

### Is it useful without Apple Ads?

Yes. Ranks, rivals, charts and reviews come from public store data. Connecting Apple Ads only opens the ad pages and ad-related jobs.
