App dossier for a demo game: rating, version, ranked searches and listing facts
Sample view · demo data

Uptika's app dossier gathers, for any app on the App Store or Google Play, its store listing, rating and install history, the searches it ranked for in the last 60 days, its chart presence, version history and listing changes on one page.

App dossier

What do you get?

Any app

Search by store link, app id, package name or name: a rival, an app you admire or a new category.

Rating and install trend

On Google Play, the daily install difference from the listing's public install count. The App Store does not publish installs, so you get new ratings per day there. No estimates.

Searches and charts

The searches the app ranked for in Uptika's readings over the last 60 days, with ranks, and the category charts it appears in.

Versions and changes

Version history and release cadence, stored listing changes and similar apps.

Top charts and watchlist

Free, paid and grossing charts in any country (24 App Store and 28 Google Play categories); apps on your watchlist are snapshotted every morning.

How does it work?

  1. Search

Link, id, package or name. It searches both stores at once.

  2. Open the dossier

Listing facts, trends, searches, versions and changes sit in tabs.

  3. Watch it

An app on your watchlist is snapshotted every day at 05:00, so its rating, installs and listing changes build up.

Which plan includes it?

The app dossier, top charts and the watchlist are on every plan. To follow rivals on your own keywords, Starter opens 5, from $29 a month.

Questions

Is the app dossier free?

Yes, on every plan. The watchlist has no count limit.

Can I see an app's App Store downloads?

No. Apple does not publish downloads and Uptika does not make up estimates. You see new ratings per day on the App Store, and the daily difference in the listing's install count on Google Play.

Where do the searches come from?

From Uptika's daily search readings: the stored searches the app appeared in over the last 60 days. A search that was never read is not on the list.

How is this different from competitor tracking?

The dossier is a one-off look plus a watchlist. Competitor tracking compares an app with you on your own keywords and counts toward your rival limit.
